It is extremely difficult to get through on the phone, you are put on hold with an occasional message telling you how important your call is but still it usually takes several attempts before anyone answers. Getting an appointment is equally difficult and frustrating and sometimes the receptionists are less than helpful.

Appalled at service from this practice. I turned up for my appointment today only to be told the doctor cancelled it as they “thought” I could be seen by pharmacist and had rearranged the appointment for two weeks prior ? ? I told the receptionist I had received a text two weeks ago notifying me of the appointment that day! but I called that morning and told the receptionist that apart from the late notice and that I was in work, my appointment was on the 4th Oct and I again clarified why I needed the doctor. At no point did they say the apt was cancelled. Further to this, I was off with the flu last week so I called the surgery to see if there were any cancellations that I could slot into (not needing an emergency visit) instead of my apt on the 4th. There wasn’t but I was asked to call back later. I did, and after 11mins wait someone answered to say there weren’t any cancellations so I said I would stick with the apt on the 4th. I’m absolutely furious which has done nothing for the reasons I needed to see the doctor and will be complaining all the way. Avoid this surgery until they acknowledge their problems and fix them.

You should make it much, much easier to cancel appointments if you don't want people to miss the. It is the weekend, I find I don't need to go to my appointment on Monday. I would like to cancel it so that someone else can use the time. You can't cancel by phone at the weekend and you can't cancel over the web if you haven't already registered Registering for the e-means downloading and completing a form which you then have to deliver in hard copy to the surgery The surgery is closed at weekends How do I release this appointment so that you can use it for someone else?

I was employed as a, a Receptionist here recently - unfortunately I decided the job was not for me -purely based on workload...the staff are all fantastic without exception !! To paraphrase an old saying they say not to judge anyone until you have walked a mile in their shoes ...well I have walked and it was a very steep learning curve !!! The receptionists and clerical staff are awesome as are the clinical staff !! The receptionists job is particularly difficult as it encompasses so much more than I expected (I had been a Clinic Clerk in NHS ) and these ladies keep smiling !!! God Bless the NHS ; and thank you all at Llandaff North Medical Centre for the sometimes stressful, definitely eye-opening but ultimately satisfying experience...you are all amazing xx

I'm sorry to say this Practice went downhill when Dr Dayananda left. I have been with this group of doctors for a very long time. I became a patient when at Riverside Health Centre. I stayed because of habit and the feeling better the devil you know. Everytime i needed to ring.. the receptionist has a very bad attitude... Not at all helpful.. On times rude. I must say there is an original female doctor who i must say.. is always willing to help.. and always been very good but she has limited her time there now.. I've not been very happy with the service myself and family member has recently recieved and it wasn't until i moved GPs that i realised has bad things have become.
